Addressing the Mental Health of Flood Relief Supporters
We talk often about the mental health of disaster survivors, but far less about the people who step in to help. Prolonged flood relief can bring adrenaline, exhaustion, blurred boundaries and a deep need to keep going long after the body and mind are asking us to stop. This is a reflection on caring for the people doing the caring—and why rest, humility and healthy boundaries are part of service, too.
