Created to hold both the words and the scent of FOUND, this special boxed offering brings together the First Edition of FOUND on the Guadalupe River and a candle created especially for this story.
The 8 × 8-inch hardcover book is a 100-page, full-color collection of original photography and poetry I wrote in the aftermath of the Fourth of July flood—as we recovered, cleaned, identified, and reverently returned what the river left behind.
Accompanying the book is FOUND — Cypress & Comfort, a 15-ounce candle personally hand-poured by me in Boerne, Texas. I created the fragrance in honor of the women who volunteered with FOUND and the countless hours they spent washing, sorting, folding, and caring for the belongings of people they had never met.
Its fragrance recalls freshly washed laundry and cypress trees—clean, green, familiar, and comforting.
